Berkey Light, by New Millennium Concepts, is designed for everyday use and is ideal in situations where a reliable supply of treated drinking water becomes unavailable.

This elegant system is constructed of transparent Lexan, making it hygienic, durable, and easy to clean and refill. The upper chamber of the two piece housing is filled with water which gravity feeds through the filters into the lower chamber.

The 2 included filter elements have micro-pores so small that harmful pathogenic bacteria cannot pass through them (such as E-coli, Cholera Salmonella Typhi, Giardia and Cryptosporidium). The filters also remove and reduce unwanted chemicals such as Chlorine, lead, rust, sediment, pesticides, herbicides, organic solvents, VOCs, SOCs, Trihalomethanes, and foul tastes and odors. The included durable and efficient water filters, called Black Berkey, last for up to 3,000 gallons each and can be cleaned as needed with a toothbrush.

Often it is desirable to refill the upper chamber while some of the water from the previous cycle remains in the lower chamber. With non-transparent or opaque systems the upper chamber must be removed from the lower chamber. This is inconvenient and messy because water continues to drip from the filter elements as the user checks for water levels in the lower chamber. This is especially difficult in no or low light conditions. If the user does not check the water level there is a risk that the upper chamber will be overfilled and later cause the lower chamber to overflow. The Berkey Light System solves this problem with its transparent design. The user is able to see the water level in both chambers at all times.

Berkey Light™ - The GO Anywhere GLOW Anywhere Water Purifier

Constructed of a shatter resistant, high impact strength non BPA copolyester; the system comes complete with two purification elements, a base and utilizes the latest technological advances. This system has a storage capacity of about 2.75 gallons and when in use it stands 26.5 in height with a diameter of 9. The system stands 21 when used without the base (included). Configured with two Black Berkey® purification elements the system can purify over 4 Gallons per hour. (Not yet available in Iowa).

This powerful system purifies both treated water and untreated raw water from such sources as remote lakes, streams, stagnant ponds and water supplies in foreign countries, where regulations may be substandard at best. The Berkey Light™ system does not leach foul tasting plasticizers into your water and will not retain foul tastes and odors from waterborne contaminants. As the system purifies water, it produces the delightful and relaxing sound of falling raindrops.

When used with the Berkey Light™ LED Base, these water droplets light up and glow and the resulting waves reflect soothing patterns of light onto the surrounding area. The lighting effects coupled with the melody of raindrops, combine to create a unique and relaxing atmosphere.

The revolutionary Berkey Light™ self-sterilizing and re-cleanable purification elements purify water by removing pathogenic bacteria, cysts and parasites entirely and by extracting harmful chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, VOCs, organic solvents, radon 222 and trihalomethanes. They also reduce nitrates, nitrites, sediment and unhealthy minerals such as lead and mercury.

The base has an optional eight-lamp LED lighting system, available in practical white or beautiful cobalt blue, allowing for optimum use day or night. Incredibly, the Berkey Light™ LED lamps have an average life of over 11 years of continuous use and are so bright the white LED’s can be spotted for more than a mile in the dark, yet they require very little energy.

The adaptable Berkey Light™ LED lighting system is designed for long-term use even when electrical power is not available. The LED lamps can be powered by the AC adapter (included with LED base) when electricity is available, or by the internal rechargeable batteries (included with LED base).

When power is not available, the Berkey Battery Adapter™ case(optional) provides an incredible two weeks of nighttime light from four small AA alkaline batteries and the Berkey MP Solar™ charger (optional) provides for an endless source of power. This makes the Berkey Light™ system the ideal camping-light and emergency light.
