STRESS and its effects on the body.
There is no way we could over exaggerate the effect of stress. Stress has many ways it compromises wellness. The American Psychological Society did a new "meta-analysis" and published their study in the July issue of Psychological Bulletin 2004.
Their # 1 findings are that stress alters immunity.
Their #2 finding is that stress first reeves up the immune system for a time.
Their #3 finding is that in the long term the immune system breaks down and goes into an exhaustive state.
Hans Seyle said it all many years ago and this exhaustive new research is repeating his findings.
The studies further state the body adds up all types of stress. Family, job, traffic, poor nutrition, tragic current events, bad air/water and even our thoughts become stressors. Emotional stress, including abuse or unresolved issues play as constant stressors unless resolved.
The "fight or flight" mechanism we have built in to protect us turns to be public enemy number one. The body keeps preparing for some type of disaster with this response that gets carried away and we began to break down and can acquire chronic infections, develop chronic fatigue or even attack our own cells and call the condition MS, arthritis or Lupus etc.
The answer is to reduce all possible causes of stress. Then or at the same time reverse the effects of the stress by supporting nutritionally, emotionally, structurally, removing toxins and addressing any allergies that add stress to the system. Why, this sounds like the '6 interferences' and the solution is the "*10 Steps To Wellness".
No matter how many studies one evaluates, DSF is the place to start. It helps to reverse all aspects of stress. One must evaluate and resolve the emotional stressors, reduce and remove toxins etc. just as the *10 Steps lays out in turn-key fashion. One important aspect that is in the literature over and over is the fact that chronic stress is part of the cause of the desensitization to insulin and the increased cortisol levels. We have a new product to be out soon that helps mop up the excessive cortisol. High cortisol levels lower DHEA, testosterone and alter the proper ratios of female hormones. This is a missing link to Male and Female dysfunction, weight gain and conditions such as polycystic ovaries.
For now take DSF morning and noon and
Procortisol Balance in the PM and/or bedtime.
