Product Information
Omega PlusVET contains an omega-3/omega-6 ratio designed to provide a healthful balance of these important essential fatty acids (EFAs). As with the significant animal health benefits of the omega-3 fatty acids, the omega-6 fatty acid gamma linolenic acid (GLA) offers similar benefits. Omega PlusVET utilizes borage oil, a rich source of GLA (higher than evening primrose oil), in a predominantly fish oil blend for optimal fatty acid ratios.
The formation of these important EFAs in the body by precursor dietary fatty acids is hindered by numerous factors including aging, nutrient deficiencies, pet foods containing trans-fatty acids or hydrogenated oils, and living in a household with heavy smokers. Thus, supplementation may be essential.
Studies using a combination of omega-3 fatty acids and GLA demonstrate positive benefits for bone and joint health as well as for cardiovascular and respiratory health.
In addition to the known benefits of fish oil (see SuperEPA?VET), GLA has been found to provide a wide variety of health-related benefits, including support of skin and other connective tissue, female reproductive health, eye health, and cognitive health.

Active Ingredients
Active Ingredients per Gelcap:
EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) (from Fish Oil) 300 mg.
DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) (from Fish Oil) 200 mg.
GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid) (from Borage Oil) 40 mg.
Inactive Ingredients: Gelatin (from tilapia) and Glycerin (vegetable source) gelcap, Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E).
For use in cats, dogs, and horses only.
Recommended for supporting dermatological, cognitive, and cardiovascular function.
Directions for Use:
Cats: 1 gelcap daily
Dogs: 2 gelcaps per 25 lbs body weight daily
Horses: 10-15 gelcaps daily
