CoQ30VET - Veterinary Antioxidants / Flavonoids
Coenzyme Q10 – an important intracellular antioxidant – in 30-mg capsules for cats and small dogs, 100-mg capsules for large dogs and horses
- potent antioxidant necessary for energy production in every cell
- supports vasculature function
- promotes normal cardiovascular function
- helps maintain healthy neurological and cognitive function
Like L-carnitine, coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is necessary for proper heart function. CoQ10 is a vital component of energy production within the mitochondria of the myocardial cells in the heart, and an adequate supply is vital to the health of the heart muscle. CoQ10 supports normal heart rhythm and can help maintain healthy blood pressure. CoQ10 is also an important antioxidant that protects the cells that line the blood vessels from oxidative damage.
In a human study, type 2 diabetics, who commonly exhibit poor arterial compliance, were given 200 mg of CoQ10 daily. Results demonstrated improved function of the endothelium lining the arteries. Coenzyme Q10 functions as an intracellular antioxidant. Due to its involvement in energy production within the cell, CoQ10 affects the function of all cells in the body, particularly benefiting the most metabolically active cells, such as those found in the heart, immune system, gingiva, neurons, and gastric mucosa.
CoQ10 is necessary for proper neurological function. CoQ10 is a vital component of energy production within the mitochondria and an adequate supply is vital to the health of the neurons. CoQ10 supports healthy nerve conduction.
