This is especially true for dogs who are engaged in sports, such as fly-ball, sheep herding, or agility work, or those who just like a rough-and-tumble game of Frisbee, tug-of-war, or catch. They can be high-maintenance animals and they need the proper substances to keep endurance, stamina, and muscles in top shape for competition or vigorous playtime with their owners. Canine Sports Basics also supports normal recovery time after strenuous activity.
Canine Sports Basics helps support muscles in their basic functions. In addition, the antioxidants in Canine Sports Basics decrease free radical damage from muscle tears or joint injuries. L-carnitine enables muscle tissue to use oxygen more efficiently, helping to delay fatigue. Creatine helps increase the formation of ATP. Leucine, a branched chain amino acid, is used locally in the muscle as a source of energy and helps reduce muscle protein breakdown during exercise. It modulates uptake of neurotransmitter precursors by the brain, as well as the release of enkephalins.
